Costa Rican Cocoa - Caribbean Chocolate Experience
During our Costa Rican Cocoa workshop, Caribbean Experience by Foodie Tours in San Jose, you will learn for one hour all the interesting and delicious process on how to make artisanal chocolate, from the fruit/bean to chocolate bar, you will test your skills by creating your own personalized chocolate bar. You will never want to try comercial chocolate again after you discover the whole magic world of cocoa.
Cacao is a historic bean, from ancient sacred drinks of the Mayan jungles in Central America, to the New-hispanic Chocolate milk that we know now days. Learn all the historical facts about this ancestral sacred fruit.
Our Costa Rican Cacao experience includes delicious traditional chocolate drinks and tastings.
You can add a coffee workshop that includes 3 coffee tastings + a traditional snack and 1 hour with a barista explaining the process of brewing specialty coffee. (The best quality Costa Rican coffee that you can only find in a few specialized coffee shops) + $20 verify availability with us.
We recommend to first take the cacao workshop, and then coffee workshop but we can totally personalize this.
Tour is available from Monday to Saturday Only.
This is a private experience, for minimum 2 people, price per person, and you can choose your schedule: 9am/11am/1pm and 3pm. The complete foodie tour takes about 2 hours.

Cancellation Policy
We offer a 100% refund - only - up to 48 hours before the day of the tour. If you can reschedule the tour, then we can give you a voucher so you can use it later, no additional charge for this.
